As preparations for the 2027 election intensify, Governor of Oyo State and All Progressives Congress (APM) presidential candidate, Seyi Makinde, has urged Nigerians to use their Permanent Voter Cards (PVC) wisely, describing them as the power Nigerians have.
The comments followed the announcement by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of the nationwide collection of newly issued PVCs
According to the electoral umpire, the collection of the PVCs will begin on Friday, October 9, 2026.

Speaking in a video, Makinde said: “Fellow Nigerians, INEC has set October 9th as the date for people to start collecting their Permanent Voters Card. This is your power, irrespective of who you want to vote for.
“Please go out, collect your PVC, and you will use it wisely in the 2027 election cycle.”
