The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Anambra State, Sen. Emma Anosike, has commenced harmonisation and fence-mending with all interest groups ahead of the 2027 Presidential election, following the reconciliation by the party’s National Working Committee ( NWC ).
To this end, Anosike has extended the olive branch of peace to the former aggrieved members of the party, insisting that it is only a united APC that can drive the victory of the party in the coming election.
Speaking at his country home in Umueri, Anambra East Local Government Area, Anosike expressed optimism that the lasting peace and unity within the party would be far-reaching in actualising the party’s dream next year.
He expressed the need for party members to sink their differences so as to pave the way for the APC to achieve its aim as a political party in Anambra State.
The State Chairman explained that rather than fight, APC Leaders, stakeholders, and members in Anambra State should find a way out of achieving peace within the state chapter of the APC.
He said, “Let me also say that the time has come for us to make peace in the party. People should not see peace as defeat. Peace is what we need to move the party forward.
Anosike acknowledged that the party’s internal processes had left some members dissatisfied and pledged to lead a more inclusive administration and party structure anchored on consultation, respect and collective responsibility.
Anosike also promised continuous consultations with party Leaders, Stakeholders and members at the ward, local government, senatorial and state levels to strengthen unity within the APC.
He noted the party could only achieve electoral success through unity and discipline, adding that all internal differences will be resolved.
“Our first campaign must therefore be reconciliation. Our first victory must be victory over bitterness,” he said.
He urged members to place the interest of Anambra APC and the re-election of President Bola Tinubu above personal grievances.
