Portugal: Very sad, you’re tainting your legacy – Mark Goldbridge to Cristiano Ronaldo

Top YouTuber, Mark Goldbridge, has insisted that it is very sad that Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo is tainting his legacy by his own doing.

Goldbridge spoke on The Overlap Daily after Ronaldo recently released a statement on Instagram detailing why he left the Portugal national team camp before their Nations League clash with Norway.

Ronaldo later apologised to his teammates for his action, and he was later suspended by the Portuguese Football Federation.

“Messi goes out to massive applause and respect, Ronaldo is tainting a legacy through his own doing, and that is very, very sad,” Goldbridge said.

“And I think that he is struggling with retirement, and he is struggling with losing that status visibly in front of us all. And I think it’s sad to see.”

Ronaldo, however, will return to the Portugal national team during the November international break, according to the President of the Portuguese Football Federation, Pedro Proença.
